If there's one thing that COVID reminded me of, it's that long walks are one of the best ways to see a city (including my own). And my favourite way to plan a walk is around a coffee pit stop. If you're in London, you're in luck because this city is home to a plethora of amazing cafes to get your caffeine buzz on. Here are a few of top picks (in no particular order!) for an amazing cup of coffee in East London.
1. Ozone Coffee Roasters
Ozone Coffee Roasters has got 2 locations in New Zealand in 2 right in London - one in Shoreditch & one at London Fields. They've got a delicious brunch on weekends, all your regular staples (lattes, etc.) and fun little coffee experiences like a V60 drip coffee for two like pictured below.

2. White Mulberries
If you haven't stopped by the St. Katharine docks before, this is your excuse. Grab a coffee and a pastry and enjoy with a view over the yachts parked at the docks. I think this might be the best view to enjoy a latte in all of East London.
3. Nude
Stop by Nude's flagship cafe on Hanbury Street and check out their roastery, right opposite. Fun fact: They're super focused on sustainability and their roaster is able to reduce energy consumption by up to 80%. Be sure to try one of their pastries - freshly baked everyday in their very own bakery.

4. Association Coffee
This spot is tucked in right near The Gherkin on Creechurch Lane. Their modern meets rustic interior is worth a visit in itself.
5. Trade Coffee
Right near Spitalfields, this spot is definitely worth checking out. On top of their delicious coffee, they serve up a bunch of great bites to eat. Oh, and they serve Ozone coffee (another must-do on this list).

6. Climpson & Sons
If you need an energy boost after eating & shopping your way through Spitalfields Market, Climpson & Sons is your go-to. They've got a second location on Broadway Market as well.

7. Attendant
Stop by Attendant for an iced coffee and toasted banana bread - absolutely delicious! They also do brunch if you've got more time on your hands. On top of their spot in Shoreditch, they've got a few other locations spread across London.

8. Friends of Ours
This cafe was inspired by the brunch scene in Australia, and serves up delicious coffees as well as lunch and brunch. Technically this is in the N1 postcode, but is just a short walk from Shoreditch & Spitalfields Market.
